REIKI
How Reiki works
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive Japanese practice traditionally understood to work with the body's energy flow. It uses a series of light hand placements—resting on or just above the body—to create a quiet space for deep rest and relaxation.
Accessible to every body
Unlike massage, you remain fully clothed during Reiki. This makes it a good option for those who find the pressure of regular massage overwhelming, those navigating sensory or touch sensitivities, or anyone unable to receive massage for any other reason.
There's no manipulation or pressure involved. Simply rest and be receptive. As your nervous system settles into deep relaxation, many people report a sense of lightness and ease—as if a weight has been gently lifted. Some notice the effects unfold quietly in the days after: more restful sleep, clearer perspective, a general sense that their system has finally had space to settle.
What to expect:
We begin with an unrushed conversation about what you’re seeking. From there, your session is entirely tailored to you. You remain comfortably on the treatment table throughout, without needing to undress. The space is quiet and grounded, designed entirely for your process.
This works for:
When you want to explore an energy-based practice. When you need genuine rest but massage doesn't feel right. When you're touch-sensitive or prefer not to be physically manipulated. When your system needs permission to settle into deep relaxation. When you're looking for a fully-clothed alternative to massage-based care. When stress or depletion has left you needing quiet, purposeful support.

You remain fully clothed, resting comfortably on the treatment table. I use a series of light, stationary hand placements, either resting gently on the body or held just above it, following a traditional Reiki sequence. There's no massage or manipulation involved—your role is simply to relax and be receptive.

Not at all. Many people come to Reiki simply curious, without holding any particular belief, and still find the experience restful and grounding. All that's needed is a willingness to lie still and receive the session—the rest can unfold in whatever way it does for you.
-
Most people leave feeling deeply relaxed and at ease. Some notice a sense of lightness or clarity by the end of a session. In the days after, some report more restful sleep or a quieter sense of perspective, as their system continues to settle in its own time. Everyone's experience is different—what matters is that your body gets the rest it needs.

Reiki isn't a cure or a substitute for professional medical or mental healthcare, but many people find its restful quality genuinely soothing during difficult periods. The deep relaxation it invites can offer a sense of ease alongside whatever other support you're receiving.

As Reiki doesn't involve physical manipulation, it doesn't carry the same considerations as massage. If you have any specific health concerns—such as pacemakers, pregnancy, or anything else—feel free to mention them beforehand so I can take them into account.

Yes. When you add aromatherapy to your Reiki session at booking, it includes a short massage with essential oils. You can choose whether you'd prefer a hand or foot massage.

Insurance receipts aren't currently available for Reiki sessions. This is something I offer for massage treatments only at this time.
